I am grateful to have a wide range of experience supporting people of diverse backgrounds and needs. I started my career at Bellevue Hospital in New York City where I spent several years providing individual and group therapy. From there, I transitioned into the NYC crisis response team, where I worked on high risk cases to help mitigate harm individuals could cause to themselves or others when in a psychiatric crisis. I eventually moved into the university setting as a crisis counselor.
My career, spanning over 13 years, has been primarily in crisis. With crisis work, I’ve witnessed people overcome devastating loss and heartache. I’ve seen what hope has done for people who didn’t think they stood a chance, and what transpired when they started to believe their own worth in the world. I’ve seen the ways in which individuals harness the power within themselves to pave their way, to overcome their fears, to process their traumas, and to challenge their doubts. I care deeply for the people I work with and love nothing more than seeing them lead more stable and fulfilling lives.
